David is the founder of DMC North, an ACA qualified accountant, an experienced business person having worked at senior level with some of the UK’s leading accounting firms and as a consultant and director in both the private and public sector. David believes that building a close relationship with clients is essential when looking to provide quality advice and valuable financial support.

David has grown up around SME businesses which has helped to give him a more layered understanding of the challenges they face. In addition David also runs and invests in small businesses, giving him first-hand experience of business ownership, which he uses everyday when dealing with DMC North clients. He is an active supporter of ambitious small to medium sized businesses across the North of England and beyond.

David’s previous roles have involved working with Start Up/Growth businesses. He now takes on a limited number of these types of clients each year, providing support beyond just financial compliance. This includes doing pro-bono, funded, deferred payment or even barter-based work with entrepreneurs looking to bring an idea to market.

Michael is a tax adviser with over a decade of experience assisting a broad range of clients with their tax compliance and planning needs. As a tax specialist, he has a wide scope of knowledge and practical experience across all areas of direct tax, has managed the tax affairs of a large portfolio of clients for several years and ran the tax department for a large accounting firm.

As tax adviser for DMC North, Michael is responsible for client compliance requirements as well as assisting with tax planning opportunities. With the ability to provide high quality practical and helpful advice, Michael places great importance on client care and takes pride in getting to know businesses and delivering a personal service.

David is a qualified ACCA accountant whose 18+ years experience saw him reach senior accounts manager level for one of the UK’s largest accounting firms.

David is focussed on providing high quality advice and support that the diverse clients at DMC North need, with particular experience supporting small and mid-sized limited businesses. He is accountable for the DMC North accounts preparation process and ensures compliance is delivered in line with legislation across the firm.

Lisa is an experienced payroll and bookkeeping services manager having worked client side within public sector, retail and manufacturing sectors before spending 5+ years in accounting firms supporting client portfolios of 150+.

Lisa is passionate about delivering the high level of customer service that DMC North clients deserve and is trusted by them to ensure their Payroll needs are smoothly operated and fully compliant.

Matthew is an AAT qualified accountant and is training for his ACA qualifications after four years working in the accounting and finance sector. He supports bookkeeping and a wide range of accounts requirements across the DMC North team as well as bringing a passionate interest in how small and medium sized businesses operate. His clear and knowledgeable approach ensures all DMC North clients get access to the information they need when they need it.

Matthew is another member of the DMC North team that has a detailed and hands-on understanding of the challenges that face business. His family have been running their own business for over 40 years so he knows what it takes to build a sustainable business.

With over 15 years’ experience working in outsourcing and accounts, Nicola has extensive knowledge of VAT and bookkeeping. Working for Top 10 accountancy firms she has worked on a broad range of clients and has experience on Xero, Sage, and QuickBooks.

Responsible for Bookkeeping and VAT as well as offering advice on cloud-based software Nicola can also offer outsourcing services tailored to meet each client’s specific needs.

Peter is ATT and AAT qualified and has over 11 years of experience assisting a broad range of clients with their tax compliance needs. He has a wide scope of knowledge and practical experience across corporation tax and self-assessment tax.  He has managed the tax affairs of a large portfolio of clients working at several large national and regional accountancy firms.

Peter is responsible for client compliance requirements as well as assisting with tax planning opportunities.

Julie has built a career providing high level administrative support within accountancy firms and plays a part in all aspects of our own practice management.

She assists in the development and implementation of firm policies and procedures and uses her organisational skills to ensure smooth operations in a busy work environment.

As well as this Julie assists in the filing of tax returns and processing of client payrolls.

Having started in a local independent practice, Gary progressed to a senior level within a top 10 firm. He is ACA qualified with over 15 years experience in the sector.
